There are color separations for The death of Evening Star (1972); Exploring the great river; Getting to know the U.S.A. (1963); Juan Diego and the lady; Sweeney's ghost; and White Falcon. The Collection holds press sheets for Alphabet art (1978); Energy and power (1958); My Eskimos (1956); and The world of Jo Davidson (1958). The Collection holds typescripts for The death of Evening Star and Sweeney's ghost. There are galleys for The death of Evening Star; Juan Diego and the lady; Sweeney's ghost; and Two if by sea (1970). The Collection contains dummy pages for The death of Evening Star and Sweeney's ghost and specification and/or layout sheets for The death of Evening Star; JuanDiego and the lady; Sweeney's ghost; and White Falcon. There are paste-ups for Juan Diego and the lady; Picture book of Revolutionary War heroes (1970); Sweeney's ghost; and White Falcon. The Collection also holds many sketches for several important educational series - The literature sampler (1962, 1964) and Reading laboratory (1957-1962).

Leonard Everett Fisher was born June 24, 1924 in the Bronx, New York. He studied at the Art Students League, and graduated from Yale University with a B.F.A. in 1949 and a M.F.A. in 1950. Throughout his long career, Fisher has worked as a painter, illustrator, author and educator. He began illustrating children's books in 1955; illustrating works by authors on a variety of subjects.
